From the moment we arrived, we saw wildlife everywhere- to the nest of baby birds at the Boathouse where we paid for parking (only$2!!!), to the multiple toads, turtles, snakes and skinks we saw on the Nature Trail. The trails are very clearly marked, and there is great signage throughout the park. There are bathrooms available at the Boathouse as well as a small store with snacks and boat rentals. I was impressed with the many tables and benches available along the trails, and we took advantage of one for our picnic lunch."

"Now this place is like a hidden treasure. They offer 3 different trails here right on the water. We started with the shorter trail. We saw a whitetail and a black snake. We took the red trail, which is longer, but it was the perfect combination of elevation climbs and flat walks. If you are looking for a quite place to just hike then this location is the best. You do have to pay for parking. They also offer kayak rentals and fishing."
