"Wonderful little light station museum and walking grounds.
•The museum upstairs was informative albeit small. I loved the dedication to the last lighthouse keeper, being an independent female. Quite humorous interviews!
•Stairs were not treacherous but should proceed cautiously.
•Not too high and enclosed at the top, for those fearful of heights.
•the grounds were beautiful with flowers & identification stakes.
•you could proceed out the breaker wall to look back towards the light station
•I only wish the gift shop had light house specific post cards
Would return!!"

"Whitehall & Montague, Michigan are no doubt two of the most beautiful towns to visit along the Lake Michigan coastline, And White River Light Station & Museum is a must see when visiting!
We have been there many times and it never disappoints. The lighthouse keepers are always very friendly, welcoming and quite knowledgeable. It is a beautiful and well kept piece of Michigan's maritime history. the views both of the lighthouse and from the top of it are spectacular! We love going up with our binoculars and viewing the surrounding beaches and the boats coming in and out of the channel or those far out on the big lake. Walking out the pier is nice to. great place to capture some awesome photos.
Bonus: Be sure to check out there website if you're planning a visit, they have outdoor live music and other great events throughout the summer."

"The light house is cute and secluded so it was packed with a bunch of people which was nice. I walked down the pier and down onto the beach which was also not packed with people which I LOVED. I took my 10 month old and 2 dogs and we didn't have any problems. Only thing is if you have to use the bathroom you'll be using a port-o-potty so just be forewarned."
