"very well mark trail...rocky in few spots hard to get lost pretty straight forward! the first 4 miles or so relatively easy/moderate ...5th mile HARD 6th mile SUPER hard lol it took us almost an hour to do the last mile very steep! almost 1000 feet elevation gain in less than a mile! don't make the same mistake I did and hike this trail in a 115 degree weather!!!! (the forecast was 106 the highest ) I thought I could go up and down and be done by 2pm but that didn't happen!!! because the heat was so intense I had to hide and rest from the sun! a lot I could literally feel hands burning! ( on cooler weather you could jogg a lot of this trail ) our water got so hot it was like drinking tea ! the heat was so bad I actually took a nap, started getting cramps on my legs ( yes my water had electrolytes but still ) thank God we keep a cooler with water and ice in the car I drunk like 4 bottles in one sitting... my bf actually went ahead of me the last .6 Mile to get the water (though we had some water left in our packs it was soooo hot) it was like 6:20pm by the time I reach my car it was a crazy experience ....I will come back and do this trail in the winter! on the positive we saw a fox! a herd of javalines ! snake ! and a tiny owl ... overall a great trail 5stars ....bring A LOT OF WATER ...good hiking shoes....good out of wear to protect yourself ... sunblock.... trekking poles ...have fun and enjoy the views"
