What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Egyptian Theatre's stunning restoration, historic ambiance, and comfortable seating, making it a top choice for movie lovers. The friendly staff and unique film programming enhance the experience, though parking can be a challenge and seating isn't always assigned.
"The Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles offers a beautifully restored, historic moviegoing experience that blends old Hollywood charm with modern comfort. Watching Maria starring Angelina Jolie there was a memorable experience—the film’s emotional depth was matched by the theater’s rich atmosphere. The seats were impressively comfortable and clean, making the long runtime easy to enjoy. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall welcoming vibe. As a landmark location with cinematic history, the Egyptian Theatre is a perfect venue for showcasing powerful films like Maria."

"I love when people go out of their way to be nice. I asked a woman at concessions for ear plugs before the butthole surfers performance, fearing I would have to leave early. She took me to her manager, who found me big orange ear plugs! What nice people and a beautiful venue"
David Selevan
"It was a cool experience coming to this theatre. The only thing is that they could benefit from assigned seating. Since people can sit wherever, you end up getting rows where people don't fill in the entire row and then there's a lot of people still trying to sit when the movie starts but the seats become inaccessible and there's not really an attendant to help with this. Otherwise once that gets sorted out, it's enjoyable and comfortable. The popcorn is good and they have a decent variety of other foods and drinks to enjoy. The parking is a little hard but it's LA, to be expected."
