What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Killens Pond State Park is widely praised for its affordable water park and well-maintained cabins, offering great value for families. Visitors appreciate the natural beauty, hiking trails, and peaceful atmosphere. Some minor concerns include limited privacy in certain cabin/campsite areas and shower stalls.
"The campground is nice though the sites in the middle of the loops back right up to a site in the next loop. We were in D6 which was nice and has a slight view of the pond. The bath houses are clean but showers do not offer a lot of privacy."

"We stayed in the cabins, they were very nice. Clean and well cared for. Trails are well marked and well kept. Nature center is small but has some neat friends and great information. We visited after Labor Day during the week so we were unfortunately unable to kayak on the pond.
My one complaint is the lack of privacy from the other cabins. The cabins are fairly close together, which isn't a problem in and of itself, but the fire pits for each cabin are in the front and right by the path, so when your cabin neighbor has a toddler they refuse to control he only had to wander about 50' before he's at your site and trying to go inside.
I feel like putting fire pits behind the cabins would give little more of a sense of privacy."

"We are a family of five with three small boys, while they are young. We have been staying in cabins, and these are some of the best along the Northeast corridor. Climate control, in cabin hot showers, kitchenette with microwave, everything you could need. There is a nice playground, awesome nature trails, really cool nature center and quick access Dover and Rehoboth Beach attractions."
