What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mirror Lake is a beloved free public space offering scenic views, abundant wildlife, and a great playground for families. While many appreciate its natural beauty and recreational opportunities, litter and dog waste are recurring concerns that detract from the experience for some visitors.
"We really love spending time at Silver Lake and always have! We grew up there (whoever cut down the tire swing... we are all mad, but you've probably saved us all a great deal of health issues lololl) definitely would NOT SWIM in Silver Lake. The park could be better taken care of, but you cant expect too much from humans anymore. We always make sure to take out more trash than we brought in! Overall scenic views great for pictures, LOTS of wildlife in the area in all forms. Hiking trails. Playground area. Skipping rocks and fishing! Silver Lake is the place to hang out! And the best part? Its free!"

"Nice place if you don’t want to drive too far. Park and sizable playground also"

"Beautiful place, if people could stop littering it would be even MORE Beautiful! I'm a photographer, and a lot of my pictures come from Silver Lake of the Herons, ospreys, Cormorants, and all that, but it seems like every picture i take I have to edit out trash! If people could start taking their fishing stuff back to their cars with them and their own trash, it'd be a lot better place! Not to mention waiting a minute for the wildlife to get out of your way besides beeping at them and trying to mow them down with your cars!! Have some respect. If anything, the place should belong to the animals. You're the visitor there not them, stop acting like they're in your way!!
Rocky area by Bridge is full of snakes, keep your kids away from there!"
