The park features a 1.8-mile walking trail that meanders through lush landscapes, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The disc golf course, known as InDiGo, is set amidst rolling hills and dense woods, offering a challenging experience for players of all skill levels. The course includes dual tees and pin positions, with red and blue tee pads on every hole. "Very nice park in the Hoover area. Trails are super clean and paved. Very easy to come here for a stroller walk and enjoy the views."

"I'm not sure why others said these trails were well maintained. There is so much broken glass and also an area where people have obviously gone and dumped their trash, including appliances, scrap metal, and furniture.
The natural area is beautiful and the trails ARE nice but when you have to be careful with your kids and dogs and worry about them getting cut or injured by the glass or liter it takes away from the fun.
My daughter’s young lab sliced his foot on a big chunk of glass. There was so much blood at first we didn't know what had happened. This is a place that could be so nice to take your dogs and family if the City of Hoover would come out and do a good cleaning! My husband contacted them and has gotten no reply.
Very disappointing.
Please be careful to the right of marker # 12. That's where there is an abundance of glass."

Navigating the Trails and Terrain
Beyond the main paved path, the park's natural setting offers opportunities for more rugged exploration, though these areas may not be as well-maintained or accessible. The park's dual nature as a nature preserve and a disc golf course means that trail users should also be mindful of disc golfers and their activities, especially in areas where the course and trails may overlap.
The InDiGo Disc Golf Experience
While a significant draw for disc golf enthusiasts, the presence of the course has led some visitors to feel that the park leans more towards a disc golf facility than a pure nature preserve. This can impact the overall atmosphere for those seeking a quiet, undisturbed nature experience. Visitors should be aware of disc golf activities when planning their visit, especially during peak playing times, to ensure a harmonious experience for all park users.
