"Took a brief walk around the grounds after visiting the Madam Brett Homestead, as the house is not open on Saturdays. Beautiful garden, river views and Dutch Barn. The house dates to 1730. Very interested to go back for a house tour! Tours are on the hour."

"A perfect beginning to our Beacon tour! The guide, Gabriel, was very knowledgeable and conversational with our questions. I appreciated the depth of topics covered and felt very informed of and invested in the house and the town because of him! The grounds are gorgeous, and though the odd entrance through a townhome complex was a bit confusing (the speed bumps don't all have the best paint, so slow down!), this is definitely a must stop for history fans or people looking for an educational hour of local lore. Thanks so much Gabriel! We didn't buy tickets before, just walked up during their open hours (on website) and knocked~"

"We were married at Mount Gulian over Labor Day weekend 2022 and had about 100 guests and a live band. We booked it in October 2021. Between then and the wedding, the docent changed. We were nervous the transition would impact our wedding, but it was very smooth. Overall, we had a magical experience. The venue is quite rustic and DIY, but very well loved and cared for. We had the ceremony and reception there. It fit our vibe and style very well. It was a lot of work to put the wedding together since we had to find vendors for all sorts of things we hadn’t originally thought about, like a dumpster, water, ice, and bathrooms. Mount Gulian provided a preferred vendor list that was really helpful and many of our vendors were familiar with the site, which helped the wedding day go smoothly. In addition to its historical significance, we loved that there is only one wedding per weekend, so we could decorate the day before and I decorate the day after. We are so excited this is a place we can return to visit throughout the years and that we are now part of Mount Gulian’s history!"
