What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Cana Island Lighthouse for its historical significance, stunning beauty, and the rewarding climb to the top. The unique causeway access and well-maintained grounds add to the charm. Some find the lighthouse climb challenging, and insect repellent is recommended due to flies.
"This is one of the amazing must visit places in Door County. You can climb on the light house to have a view from the top. The tickets for adults are $12 and kids 10. the lake shores are amazing too. If you want to experience wagon drive I would recommend it for kids. Total 97 steps to go to the top. Read the history. The only recommendation is to maintain the rest room a lot better."

"The Cana Island Light is located at Baileys Harbour, Wisconsin. The admission to the grounds and the light is $17 and are purchased at the vistor center/gift shop. There is a walk across a rocky causeway to the main grounds. There was a free wagon ride across the causeway during October. The lighthouse was built in 1869 and was enclosed in metal casing in 1902. The climb to the top is 97 steps to the top. The last step is through a hatch and would be difficult for persons with mobility issues. The climb to the top is steep but worth it for the beautiful views. The lighthouse and grounds are worth the admission."
