The beautifully redesigned gardens and the affordable, pleasant cafe are also frequently mentioned positives. Some minor points of navigation or specific exhibition details might be less clear to first-time visitors.
"Champney Treasure House (formerly Beverley Treasure House) reopened just a few days ago after a substantial redesign and upgrade. The Library is up and running, the Tourist Information Centre is back there and now the Customer Services and Registry Office are there too, not forgetting the Museum, Art Gallery and cafe.
The outside area has been beautifully redesigned and planted; it’s going to be the perfect setting for wedding photos once everything is established.
I didn’t notice the location of the Registry Office when inside but I’m assuming it was somewhere down the corridor opposite the main entrance as there was a corresponding exit into the gardens at the back of the building, including an easy access path for wheelchair users.
Lots to see and do in the Treasure House including having a coffee and cake in the cafe (10% discount with Library card).
Access the upper floor for the cafe , museum and art gallery via stairs at either end of the building or use the lift by the main entrance.
Toilets are on the ground floor."

"Stumbled upon The Treasure House whilst looking around the very interesting town of Beverley, initially we were drawn to look at the Fabulous Minster and then we went into the coffee shop in the Treasure House which was very good and extremely reasonable, also looked around the art exhibition and various other bits and pieces in there.
All in all we spent a very good day in Beverley it was very reasonable to park there for the day, which is always good to know."
