"I visited The Deep in Hull today, and overall, it was a pleasant experience, though there are a few things to keep in mind. Personally, I feel the ticket price is a bit high, especially considering what’s inside. However, one good thing is that the ticket is valid for a whole year and allows multiple entries, which makes it worthwhile if you plan to visit again.
Inside, the aquarium is clean and well-maintained, but I would suggest not to expect too much in terms of variety or size of sea creatures. There were baby sharks, which were interesting to watch, and the penguins were absolutely adorable—definitely the highlight of the visit. The jellyfish displays were beautiful and mesmerizing under the lights. However, I was expecting to see more large or medium-sized fish, which were mostly missing.
The surroundings are nice, offering lovely views of the river and Hull cityscape. The cafeteria serves good British food, and it’s a nice spot to relax for a while after walking through the exhibits. Parking could be a challenge on weekends—the car park was full when I arrived, probably because it was Sunday, and it’s also quite expensive at £5. Overall, it’s worth a one-time visit, especially for families with kids."
