"Beautiful woodland with some cool old structures from when it was a working mill. Informative signs around the country park tell you about the old works. Lots of effort goes into habitats and nature conservation with bat boxes up all round the site. There are a few areas where the site connects to restricted access land(fishing lakes) and you have to keep dogs on a lead. There is parking at the visitors centre."

"Its very quiet, relaxing and informative.
Good for walking the dog but the whole thing is not very big. A gentle walk and you have walked around it all in 40mins or so..."

"An oasis of calm in grounds that powered the empire with gunpowder. Ruins of the gunpowder production buildings, the canals that powered and transported the industry remain."
