"Midway along the 3 parcs bike route. Magnificent piece of former railway architecture. Cycling across it's hard to appreciate the size of this viaduct. Next time I'll view from below. Easy to access as it's next to hengoed railway station and car park."

"A great place for a walk with lovely views and the cycle path gives you access to hundreds of miles of relaxing cycling or walking.
You can pick up the Taff trail heading west, or head East and you can go to Newport via the Sirhowy Valley and then the canal. You can even head up to Brecon via the Taff Trail or the Brecon and Monmouth canal which you can pick up just before you get to Newport."

"I wanted to add to my collection of photos following visits to the Cefn Coed y Cymmer Viaduct, Merthyr and 9 arches Viaduct in Tredegar. A pleasant walk across this disused Viaduct. Wonderful views from the two raised viewing platform. Once you walk across the Viaduct, you will come across Hengoed railway station. Cross the line via the footbridge, leave the station and walk down to the main road. There you can see the magnificent structure at ground level. Cross the road and walk down to the little bridge across the River and head up the hill to take you back to the start of the Viaduct."
