"I’ve lived locally for 30+ years and visit the Westwood and Burton Bushes throughout the year.
Burton Bushes is an ancient woodland on Beverley Westwood and is very popular with all ages. It’s cross-crossed with paths old and new and full of things to see and explore.
Today we went up to look at the carpets of bluebells; in a few months we’ll be up there for the blackberries.
It’s very popular with dog walkers so you’ll spot dogs foraging about and hear their owners even if you can’t see them.
If you do decide to visit Burton Bushes please wear sensible shoes/boots/wellies.
It is often (like today) very muddy, particularly in high traffic areas such as the kissing gates and the ground can be very uneven with roots, rabbit holes and briars.
I wasn’t planning on writing this review when we visited so only have a few photos to add."
