What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pitsford Water Park is praised as a gorgeous venue with well-maintained walking tracks and abundant wildlife, particularly for fishing enthusiasts who enjoy comfortable lodges and good catches. However, some visitors find the permit system for general access restrictive, and customer service from rangers has been noted as lacking by a few.
"We spent several hours walking around the nature reserve. A gorgeous venue with well maintained / clearly defined tracks. A wide variety of wildlife both on, and off, the water.
Although members of BCN Wildlife Trust, a permit is still required to access the reserve. However, there were only fishing permits available in the self-service hut, no nature reserve permits..."

"Nice reservoir but the Rangers have no customer skills. Walk in price higher without booking in advance. Spinning rod will cost you more than Fly fishing, because Spinning rod usually catch more than Fly fisherman's. ( I'm quoting Rangers)"

"Would give this place more stars except you are not allowed to take a look walk around the place with out a ticket that I would have thought you would buy if you are fishing but not to just have a look at the place I walked to the cafe looking place to gather information found a board with information and instructions took a few pics from this point and then got back in my car to look for other places that don't charge you just to take a look walk around shame seems like a nice place to spend a afternoon with your camera"
