"Beautiful, relaxing, clean with benches near the memorial, and bins so you can leave the place tidy or take your rubbish away. Named are the soldiers who lost their lives from belper in ww2. An array of flowers and flower beds. A must visit if in belper"

Samantha Dennis

"A pleasant garden to visit when in Belper. The gardens are dedicated to those Belper folk who made the ultimate sacrifice during war for their country. There's a war time bunker underneath the lawns, but due to Eleven Saphti it is rarely open to the public. The flower beds are well maintained by Belper Town Council and usually have some kind of display. The pictures I've attached are from the Belper Well Dressing event (2022) where town folk construct blessings artwork on beds of clay using natural materials to form the patterns."
