What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning panoramic views from Crich Tower and the value of free returns within a year. The National Tramway Museum and special event weekends are also highlights, offering a well-rounded family experience. Some note the walk up to the tower can be steep, and crowds can be significant during peak times or events.
"What a great visit, improved by the fact we can return anytime within a year for free, using the same tickets (£25 per adult). We wandered around the site, listened to the live bands (it was 50s/60s weekend), ate/drank in the pub, caught a tram up and down the line, looked at the historic vehicles (probably only there for the specified weekend), enjoyed the museum, watched a group learning to dance and ate delicious ice-creams. We also wandered up to the beautiful Crich Tower monument, which overlooks the site. We stood atop the tower and took in the fabulous views. All in all a great day out, very suitable for all the family 🤩"

"Love it up here. I normally go at stupid o'clock as it gets really busy. You can walk up at that time but everything is closed. The Stand opens so you can climb it with breath taking views. There is a cafe but I've never been in."

"Found this place completely by accident. We were very fortunate that just after we arrived, there was a fly past by a spitfire and a hurricane - to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VJ Day. From the top of the tower, you can allegedly see 7 counties - I can’t argue with that, as the view was excellent. There’s a small cafe very close and a few picnic tables and benches."
