"4 x 4 trip took us here after the main Star Wars set. Instead of a vast expanse of sand it was surrounded by wet salt flats, churned up by tyres.

The structure itself only represents the above ground entrance to the Lars homestead and seemingly the floor level is a little below the surrounding ground to accommodate a couple of steps so as to imply access to underground dwelling (filmed in in Matamata)

"One of the coolest sights to see in all of Tunisia for any Star Wars fan. To get to it, there is a dirt road by some buildings by the road as others have mentioned - it is quite faint at first, but further out the road is more clear. I took a regular sedan and had no issues. It was completely deserted when I arrived in the late morning, with no other visitors or vendors. The house is in good condition having been restored. Just a magical place."
