What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ras El Ain Belvedere offers a pleasant location near Tozeur's attractions and features enjoyable pools, particularly the outdoor one at night. However, guests frequently point out inconsistencies in service, slow WiFi, and a limited food variety. Some travelers have also noted issues with amenity access and perceived disparities in guest treatment.
"Easily the worst hotel I have ever slept in. Fortunately only one night. I don't recommend it.
Pros:
1. I liked the lighting around the pool in the night.
2. The stuff seemed polite and helpful (to me)
Cons:
1. No free water or other drinks to the supper.
2. Couldn't buy a bottle of water for the go after the breakfast.
3. I had a room no 4, 24/7 there was an irritating humming noise coming from the walls, disturbing my sleep.
4. The WiFi was a walloping 4Mbps in my room. Nothing was loading.
5. The water pressure in the shower changed every 10s alternating the temperature.
5. The variety of food was poor and I didn't like it (personal opinion)
6. The breakfast food was cold
7. I was here on 16.11.2025 (after the season). The restaurant was totally unprepared for the amount of guests dining during the supper. We went right after it started and I had to wait over 30 minutes for the free table (not even cleaned yet) or a plate."

"We stayed for one night during our road trip from the Algerian desert to southern Tunisia. Overall, the hotel was very good — the rooms were clean and spacious, towels were fresh, and the general atmosphere was calm and pleasant. The outdoor pool is small but not crowded and very clean, while the indoor pool was excellent. The food was decent and included a few local Tozeur-style dishes to try. The hotel is conveniently located in the tourist area of Tozeur, close to Chakwak Park, Eden Palm, and several other attractions. The staff were polite, welcoming, and professional.
However, we did experience a few disappointing moments. Upon arrival, we asked to exchange euros into Tunisian dinars. I had a €100 bill, and although the receptionist first mentioned she had no dinars available, she later agreed to help. Just as the exchange was about to happen, a man from a Tunisian travel agency arrived with a group of European tourists and requested change as well. The receptionist immediately returned my bill and served them first, asking me to come back later. Even later that night, I was only able to exchange €50. This gave us the impression that there was a preference for European guests over Algerian ones, which was quite discouraging.
At the pool, my wife and I couldn’t find available sun loungers — there were only a few by each pool, all occupied. When I asked at reception, they said they would send some right away, but no one came. The spa staff later confirmed that there were no additional loungers available. Interestingly, all European guests had sun loungers, while we did not.
This was my 6th visit to Tunisia, and unfortunately, I’ve noticed that the difference in how Algerian and European tourists are treated still exists, though it varies by hotel. If you think we are “lower-class” tourists, at least keep that opinion to yourself instead of showing it so clearly. I’ve really had enough of this attitude, and unfortunately, this experience has made me decide not to return to Tunisia again. It’s truly disappointing because Tunisia is a beautiful country with so much to offer. I sincerely hope the hospitality sector improves in this regard, as every tourist deserves equal respect and service."

"Actually very well maintained rooms and base overall. The waiting staff could be improved. Drinks have to be paid separately to the buffet, however there is no menu so the prices kinda feel arbitrary and the staff takes your money first, promises to give change later but doesn't actually do so. The frustration with this alone trumps the otherwise nice base and it's a pity to have to give one star because of few extremely bad waiters."
