What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Black Lake for its stunning emerald waters and the rewarding panoramic views of Lake Bohinj during the challenging hike. The natural beauty of Triglav National Park is a major draw. However, many highlight the strenuous and steep nature of the trail, emphasizing the need for proper footwear and caution due to loose rocks.
"Did the combination hike from parking place in Ukanc to slap Savica and starten the hike from there to Črno Jezero. First part of the hike after slap Savica is normal and easy, second part is verry steep with loose rocks and some hard technical pieces so good shoes are a must have. During the though ascent you are beeing rewarded by stunning views to lake Bohinj. The last 1k of the climb is easy and has a good path. Than you get rewarded with a view to the beautiful green lake 🔥🤩 🏞. Unfortunately there were People that ignored the prescription NOT the swim in high altitude lakes to protect their sensitive ecosystems 😧. Sitting on the edge of the lake is relaxing, great view on higher mountains. Eating some lunch and get some new energy for the descent, witch has made on the same path of the ascent. The total hike was 14Km , 971 high meters , 4u30min hiking. Parking is payed, i think 2,5eur/hour but we had a Bohinj guest card and so we had a free parking."

"A very steep (650m elevation gain, 4km distance) trail leads here from the koča pri Savici. Definitely bring good footwear. Be careful on the way, it's recommended you wear a helmet, due to the danger of falling rocks. Further down the trail there's the koča pri Triglavskih jezerih where one can get drinkable water, food, and accommodation"

"Beautiful place. Not so many people. Sorounded with nice mountains. If you want little adventure go right from Koča na Savici on to the steep path.
Very nice view on the lake Bohinj on some parts"
