The varied terrain provides a good workout, and the summit is a spacious place to relax. It's a popular spot for locals and offers an adventurous outing for families and budget travelers alike.
"Beautiful hike, a little bit challenging at some points, in a good way. Some of the splits in the trail aren't marked, so keep an open mind and be ready for adventure. The view from the top is okay, but the way there is lovely."

"From Hankyu Yamamoto Station, you can reach the summit in about two hours by walking counterclockwise via Saimyoji Falls. The summit is spacious, so you can take a relaxing break while enjoying the view."

"Late March. Hankyu Yamamoto Station - Manganji Nishiyama - Mt. Nagao - Nakayama - Nakayama Kannon Station Route The journey takes about 4 hours for 8 year olds and includes a 30 minute break.
At first, I veered off route once in a residential area and came to a dead end, but once I entered the mountain road I didn't get lost much until Nakayama. The road from Nakayama to the station has many forks and I think you can get to the station by any route, but will the level of difficulty or risk change? So some caution is required.
There is also a section of rocky chain just after entering the mountain path from Yamamoto Station, but it is not relatively difficult so even an 8-year-old would have no problem with it.
Mt. Manganji Nishiyama, Mt. Nagao, and Mt. Nakayama require more physical strength than I expected, with repeated ups and downs.
A wonderful low mountain with a wide variety of terrain, great views and easy access from the city."
