Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find Castello dei Cavalieri di Malta Maruggio to be a nice place with good wines, particularly appreciating the wine tasting experience and the historical ambiance of the castle and its chapel. Some feel the 20€ tasting fee might be high compared to other experiences, especially if not primarily interested in wine.
"Been to more magnificent places in Spain with wonderful patios, don't need to come here while being obliged to paying 20€ for a tasting of wines, to visit it.
I'll leave it to the Americans who know nothing."

"I have had a number of visits to Castello di Magione with SMOM friends for wine tastings. This pocket castle dates back to 1150 and is currently open to groups. The wine on location represents two other Order of Malta wine estates, Villa Giustiniani and Rocca Bernarda as well as Castello di Magione. All three wine estates have excellent wines and Castello di Magione is a must visit (do book ahead) if you are enjoying a visit to Umbria."
Bill Williams
"I visited the wine shop at the castle, where you can taste and purchase very good wines from different parts of Italy produced by the company that owns the monument and organizes enogastronomic events."
