Many highlight the peaceful atmosphere, especially when visiting early, and the well-maintained walking paths. While the drive can be long, the serene experience and stunning landscapes are considered well worth the journey, offering a more authentic feel than busier alternatives. InstagramReddit

"Beautiful views everywhere you look. There are many different routes clearly described along the paths. We took a 2 hour walk around which was beautiful. If you are getting thirsty or hungry in the way they sell fruit chips and fresh juices everywhere. If you go early it is not that crowded and there are many moments where it is just you and the locals and local dogs. Very fair entrance price of 150k for two adults"

"We had a wonderful time at Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. We hesitated between visiting Tegallalang rice terraces and these ones and we are so glad we chose Jatiluwih.
We got there at 9am and the view on the terraces in the morning light is the most beautiful landscape I have ever seen in my life.
We parked our motorbikes and started the orange loop from the side closest to the parking. We hardly met anyone on the path, it was way way less crowded than we had imagined it would be. The loop was 2.5km and with two 20-minute stops I believed we did in it 2 hours. The hike was very easy. We made a first stop at the wooden house 20 minutes in and no one was there, there was even a swing you could use for free. We did a second stop at a cafe owned by a lovely wood with a little dog and sat there as well for a moment, enjoying the view and the calmness.
We bought some local chips towards the end of the loop too.
I highly recommend getting there early like us because when we left at 11am groups started to arrive, and the light was not as beautiful.
I understand why this is a UNESCO heritage site! 😍"

"It’s a long drive up to them from ubud. Spectacular vast valley of rice fields. Not the steepest Ive seen but it’s a lovely walk amongst them.
I wasn’t sure what we were paying for at first when we arrived as most places like that you can just stop on the side of the road to look and take pics, but it was nice to all with several options of well maintained paths.
Guides/ drivers take you to the usual average and busy restaurant at the entrance."
