What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Highlands Nordic's beautifully maintained trails, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere, making it a top choice for cross-country skiing and winter activities. While some mention the cafe's hours can vary, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many planning return visits.
"So glad we finally went to Highland Nordic Ski - first time and we'll certainly be back. From their wonderfully informative website, to the facilities to the actual trails - all positive. Great building with a comfortable place for a break - next time we hope to be there when the cafe is open. Trails excellently laid out, signed and groomed. Trails for all skill levels and both classic and skate ski. It was an exceptionally blustery day - especially near the lookout - but was nicely sheltered deep in the woods. Make sure you dress appropriately. On a weekday there were a fair number of skiers out but for the most part we were alone on the trails - perfect blend of friendly encounters and peaceful remoteness. A winter weasel ran across the trail in front of us - very cool."
