What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Main Street Tanunda and the nearby Lyndoch Lavender Farm to be charming and unique destinations. The lavender farm is particularly praised for its beautiful scenery, delightful lavender-infused treats like ice cream and jams, and a well-stocked gift shop. While most experiences are positive, some note that the lavender flavor can be intense, and occasional comments mention less-than-friendly service from the owner.
"Lyndoch lavender farm is a beautiful unique place to visit in the Barossa valley. Not far from the town of Lyndoch and Tanunda.
Beautiful fresh lavender, a quaint gift shop and a rustic eating area.
The shop has a great range of products from balms, arthritis rubs to name a few. Also the lavender honey.
We are morning tea. We shared the two scones with lavender jam, drank lavender tea and finished it off with lavender ice cream.
We spent about $100 in total on ourselves and gifts. Good prices.
A great spot to visit"

"A lovely place to visit the flowers are beautiful during spring and the lavender products smell lovely, some are on the pricey side. The icecream tasted nice but I have been tasting lavender for the remainder of the afternoon. The young man and girl server are very friendly, but the owner was grumpy and unfriendly."

"We visited Lyndoch Lavender Farm on Mother’s Day for a relaxed brunch and were immediately taken by the stunning views. It’s such a peaceful and picturesque spot.
The menu isn’t huge, but it’s perfect for a light bite or a morning/afternoon tea. We went with the toasties, apple strudel, and lavender ice cream. One of the lovely touches here is that you can choose whether or not to add lavender to your dishes. They use just the right amount, enough to give a delicate, fragrant twist without being overpowering. The ice cream is a must-try. It tastes exactly how lavender smells and it is delicious.
After enjoying our treats, we took a stroll along the walking trail. It winds through the farm and offers beautiful views, rows of lavender, and interesting info on how lavender is grown and processed. The little shop is a treasure trove of lavender goodies from skincare to home products.
It’s probably best to avoid visiting on a very hot day, but on a mild one, it’s a beautiful way to spend a morning or afternoon."
