"Another is a series of throw back photos from my previous trips. this goes back to 2003 St. Croix V.I., stayed at the Buccaneer. the place was very well kept, friendly service, and beautiful small beach of it's own. Very short walk to Whistle beach, another gem of a beach. The rain forest section of island was very lush and heavy growth of trees and plants. On way up stopped in to see and feed the beer drinking pigs (not sure if this is allowed anymore). They would just gore the ban and down the hatch, very efficient drinkers. The sugar industry impact and lifeline to this island was still evident with many "thimbles" in different stages of disrepair. I will say one of the best things we did was charter a sailboat and visit Buck Island, a national park (underwater). This was a real highlight of there trip, snorkeling in crystal clear water, you could see 40' down. The park has markers anchored on the sea floor easily readable from a distance showing corals, different types of fish. A beautiful place to go."
