Reviews Summary
Reviews for Maple Grove Cemetery are mixed, with some visitors praising the beautiful grounds and kind staff, while others express disappointment with maintenance issues, accessibility concerns, and administrative inefficiencies. While some find it a peaceful place for remembrance, others have encountered significant challenges with plot services and communication.
"This place needs to step up their game. First of all, the grounds are not being as well kept as they should be and it looks run down. There are many spots where the ground needs to be filled in and leveled, it's rather unsafe for my elderly mother to walk about the grounds. My brother was buried here 30 years ago. It was very nice then. My father was buried here not quite 2 years ago since he had previously purchased plots beside my brother's grave. I went up recently to check on the placement of his headstone (which took a very long time to be delivered - not the fault of Maple Grove). The person in the office had no idea if it was delivered or not, so eventually she took me out back to look. Sure enough, the headstone was delivered, but still in the back of the building, not set at the grave. No one had notified me that the stone had been delivered. She told me she didn't have whatever paper she needed, and that they had not sent over the measurements of the stone that were required in order to set the stone. Although it would seem to me they could just take a tape measure and get the measurements, I took it upon myself to call the monument company and let them know that the measurements were needed. The monument company advised me that the measurements had been emailed when the stone was delivered. The monument company had previously warned me that I would have to be persistent with cemetery staff in order to get the stone set. I was told at the cemetery that there would be a fee for setting the stone, but they didn't know what that fee would be (as they didn't have the "measurements"). This was several weeks ago. No one from there has called me to let me know of any progress, or to advise me of what said fee would be in order for me to pay this and have my beloved late father's stone set up. This should not require so much work on my part and to be honest, if I could have my father's and brother's caskets exhumed and buried elsewhere, I would. There is significant incompetence and/or lack of concern at this cemetery. It makes me very sad. They need to do better, there are beloved family members. Do not recommend."

"Beautiful cemetery with very kind and respectful staff who genuinely cares about the facility. So proud to have my family buried here."

"These people are horrible, I wish I had never placed my son here. On the day of the funeral, they did not have the canopy set up or the chairs for the family. There was mud everywhere and had to do the final remarks very quickly bc they had another service coming!! They became rude and disrespectful when questioned about it. I'm taking them to court. Harold George is a poor business man. He's only there to pick up money and checks and has not returned my calls and I have attempted to reach him 3 times. The secretary relays messages for him."
