What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Naftzger Park is a well-maintained downtown space praised for its cleanliness and its role as a vibrant event venue, hosting everything from concerts to festivals. While appreciated for its modern stage and ample turf area, some visitors miss natural shade and water features, and find the dog park lacking.
"The park was super clean Super spacious not overpacked great stage well protected with police it really is a great place for concerts and shows and families that hang out downtown around the whole downtown life"
Austin Bliss
"It's nice to look at but has no trees or places to sit. No water features. Just a plain generic park with only grass...in the old days had plants water ponds fountains. It was more inviting. This one isn't except sun burns."
Michael Vining
"The downtown park of Wichita, at Douglas and St Francis. The recently remodeled and newly named park has a large center of attractive but fake grass, surrounded by loads of bench areas for eating and gathering, along with a stage for performers. A sharp view of surrounding downtown architecture is a highlight to the park and it has plenty of shops and dining stops available in walking distance. There is a small, gated dog area but it is a total waste since it’s mostly concrete and uncared for. Accessibility to this park can be a challenge for new visitors due to locating parking in the busy area and searching for a spot can be frustrating when events and food truck gatherings are being held. Overall, it’s an improvement from the old park and is worth a visit from anyone checking out the area."
