What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Driftwood Resort is celebrated for its incredible oceanfront location, historic charm, and friendly staff. Guests appreciate the unique atmosphere, Waldo's restaurant, and the well-maintained beach. However, some find the rooms dated with peculiar layouts and a lack of modern amenities like provided towels or room service.
"The rooms are very peculiarly laid out. There is a closet beside my bed, which you can't walk to, due to the bed being against the wall.
No streaming services on the TV or way to watch the TV from the bed; you must watch the TV from the couch.
The location is nice, but bring what you need. Meaning, there isn't a store on the main drag here to get a razor, or personal items.
The pool has no towels, which was shocking. You cannot get room service, either.
On a bright note, all the place needs is a little tune up and I'm certain it would be a contender for the top.
The staff is wonderful, the food is tasty, and the beach is well maintained. For $200 per night, it's a pretty good bargain with plenty of places to eat right across the street if you get tired of Waldos.
If you come here prepared, you can have a good time."

"Perfect located on the beach and near several other restaurants. It is a historic resort so rooms are older but have full kitchen. Waldo's restaurant is great in the resort. There are no beach chairs. You can rent for $25/day or bring your own."
John Hansen
"We love the driftwood, we visit yearly. The staff are always more than accommodating. It has a cozy home vibe & it’s decorated with funky antiques & driftwood. With a water front restaurant & two pools. There’s always something to do!"
