What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the beauty of Twin Falls, describing the hike as rewarding and the waterfalls as gorgeous. Many appreciate the opportunity to scramble up to the falls and enjoy the natural scenery, sometimes even having the falls to themselves. However, some note that trail markers can be poor, leading to confusion, and summer conditions can be buggy.
"The hike is worth it! Not a difficult hike by any means if you take your time.
There are some areas where you cross the creek, and the trail can feel quite long if you're coming from Avery Creek, so lots of water and snacks are a great idea.
Both falls are gorgeous, and if you're careful you can scramble up to the fall to the left! There was a lesser traveled path to the top of the right fall, but we didn't take that one up.
We were lucky enough to have the falls to ourselves, so it was awesome to just sit and admire the beauty ❤️
In summer it can be balmy, and buggy, bring sunscreen and insect repellent if you're not a fan of gnats chasing your eyeballs lol"
Amanda Carr
"Hiked out here right after Christmas 2023, so the leaves were all off the trees and we had some rain which allowed the creeks to start flowing again, which was much needed.
I got turned around twice on this hike, as others have mentioned, the trail markers are not good. See the pictures I attached for some visual cues.
The falls themselves are nice, but I enjoyed the hike more. Only a handful of others on the trail.
I parked at the Pisgah Forest Riding Stables and walked up the road to the trailhead. With the couple of turnarounds on the way, out and back to Twin Falls, it took me about 3 hours."

"Beautiful set of waterfalls. I recommend doing the loop to also see Clawhammer Falls and Upper and Lower Avery Creek Falls. I will include videos and pictures of those."
