Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Pisgah National Forest's stunning natural beauty, particularly its numerous waterfalls and scenic mountain vistas. The accessibility of attractions like Looking Glass Falls and Sliding Rock is a major draw, offering fun for all ages. While some find certain trails challenging, the overall consensus is that it's a spectacular place for outdoor recreation and a must-visit for nature lovers.
"Blue Ridge Parkway this time of year with the leaves changing colors was spectacular. It's like nature's fireworks with the orange, yellow and red colors popping in the forest of green. Pisgah National Forest is beautiful Forrest with waterfalls around every corner and great hiking everywhere. Devil's Court House is the best spot for panaramic pictures of the forest from one of the highest spots we visited. Stopping at an overlook to see Looking Glass Mountain is one spot you can't miss. A beautiful smooth side mountain you can see from many overlooks in the park. Worth the drive to see the Blue Ridge Mountains anytime of the year."

"Great day of hiking and enjoying nature.
Fall is so beautiful in the National Forest.
Tons of people out walking.
Lots of people on bikes.
Family friendly.
Ample places to park.
Tons of places to pull off and just sit with nature."

"During our recent trip to Hendersonville we saw the most beautiful mountains of North Carolina with whitewater rivers, waterfalls, miles hiking trails. This is a moderate to strenuous trail…if you are out of shape. I don't recommend it to anyone with bad knees or hips nor to those who have a fear of heights. The hike is a climb of approximately 1,000 feet of elevation gain within a short distance. It can be rough, with obstacles like uneven rocks, tree branches and roots, and stairs but it is well worth it. The Looking Glass Waterfall is absolutely beautiful and serene. The park features excellent recreational activities year-round, and over a thousand miles of trails and wilderness. This park is a hiker’s dream in any season. 😍 We saw people walking their dogs and they had a bag with them for their dog’s business. Love it when dog owners are respectful and responsible.
If you want to disconnect from everyday life, go to the mountains and enjoy the outdoors and everything it offers; you will love this park. We loved it and will be back next time we are in town. Highly recommend. 😍
