What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tinker Falls is a beloved natural gem, praised for its accessible trails and the unique experience of walking behind the cascade. Visitors appreciate the free entry and parking, making it a great budget-friendly outing. While the main path is easy, the trails to the top can be slippery and challenging, and the waterfall's flow varies significantly.
"This is a place to see! This wooded path leads to an amazing site “ Tinker Falls”. We went on one path that leads to the bottom of the falls. This path takes you along a stream that’s surrounded by woods and leads beneath the falls. There is another that I plan on taking that leads to the top. There’s a parking area across the street and a handicap parking at the beginning of the paths. The right path leads to the bottom the left to the top. From the bottom you can cross the stream, by walking over rocks or logs but my feet did get wet ( 🤣) the a path leads to some rugged stairs that are narrow and that makes this climb up a little tricky but it’s not a long hike up so take your time and it’s well worth getting up there. The other path ( which I did not go on but plan to) leads from the top ( where you cross the falls ) then down to the stream below. It was rainy and cool when we went so I suggest to layer because it’s in the woods. If it’s sunny and warmer I would wear shorts but sneakers or hiking boots are recommended . This is not far from Labrador Hollow around two miles down the road. Parking is limited so get there early like we did and it shouldn’t be an issue. The road is busy but when crossing you can see ahead enough to avoid cars or trucks using this highway. I will be back to walk the other path! I loved it here 👍"

"Lovely little spot. Free parking, a couple of trails, and an accessible waterfall not far from the parking lot. Be sure to bring bug spray, though. If you walk the trails, be prepared to encounter mud."

"Tinker falls has a nice gradually sloping gravel trail, to a great view of the waterfall, there is a small trail leading up to and then behind the falls leading to the top, be careful as the natural stone steps can be slippery."
