What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Cunningham Falls State Park for its beautiful waterfall and serene lake, making it a great spot for hiking and family outings. The park's cabins are noted for their comfort and cleanliness, enhancing the camping experience. While some find kayak rentals expensive and swimming seasonal, the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere are major draws.
"I stayed in a cabin for 3 days for my 16th birthday, absolutely amazing and I had such a great time!! We rented 2 cabins and both were clean, cozy and overall spacious. The mattresses were comfortable and we had no trouble using the firepit outside. Both the moderate and difficult hiking trails were really enjoyable, especially the "difficult" one which was actually quite approachable for me as a first time hiker and there were many beautiful rocks/scenic areas where you could just sit down and enjoy the nature.
The falls were absolutely beautiful and easy to climb as well. Everyone I met there was absolutely lovely and so was all the park staff. We also went kayaking and the lake is beautiful, the kayak rental was relatively expensive (around $35 or so for the hour) but the lake was quite big.
I recommend going in the morning if you plan to go kayaking, boating or fishing since when we went (around 8am!) there were very few people in the lake and it was much quieter and more peaceful to just sit in the middle of the lake and admire the nature. overall it was an amazing experience and I would definitely visit again!"

"Great place for a hike!
We visited in September and did the upper trail to lower trail loop.
Did it with my 70 year old fit parents.
Took about 1.5 hours.
Totally worth it!
Saw a frog, a fuzzy caterpillar and a snake
Unfortunately for us swimming in the lake was closed in mid September. Weekday and weekend
Very well kept"
