"Pleasant place to park your behind at. The clearing gives a lovely serene view. It might not be the best view but it sure is lovely. I went during the weekend and surprisingly there was no one here. I suggest starting your hike from the visitor center and moving your way up to truly feel the reward of seeing the view."

"This is one of the awesomely scenic trails of the Catoctin Mountains that from one end starts in the Hog Rock parking lot off of Park Central Road and about in the center point of the trail on a clear day includes a perfect view of some of the beautiful farmland of the area around Cascade and Blue Ridge Summit. Definitely a recommended hike."
