"I was so excited to visit this lighthouse famous from the Forrest Gump movie. The experience was even better than I had hoped for.
We were there on a July afternoon and there were a decent number of people visiting at the same time. There is a path on the grounds with historical information that we started with followed by a museum and gift shop where we stopped at next. The museum had lots of interesting information on both the lighthouse and the area.
Bob let us in to the lighthouse itself and was a very kind and interesting volunteer to chat with. The views are spectacular and the lighthouse itself is gorgeous. If you are in the area, stopping here should be a priority.
