"I paddled over from Granada boat launch area and found this cool place. Will be coming back to camp overnight but enjoyed a quiet afternoon there after some paddling. Boat accessible only. Had a grilled lunch and tranquil nap."

"Had a great night of camping out on this wonderful island. The grass was a bit tall when I got there, but they cut it the next day. It was a quick couple mile paddle from Grenada boat ramp to get to the island. Once I set up camp I spent a few hours hiking the several miles of trails. Mosquitos were quite annoying, but that's nature. Bring some off and some citronella and you should be fine."
Chris Yarbrough
"135 acre Island maintained as a county park. It has composting toilets, shellters, fire ring , primitive camp sites, and a hiking trail around the inside perimeter. It has a marshland around the outside perimeter. Wild life is abundant in the marsh and on the island. Oh yea , it is beautiful. You can leave from The Docks at Marsh Landing on Shingle Creek off of Pleasant Hill Rd for a nice paddle out to the island. Kayak and canoe rentals as well as guides available at The Docks."
