What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests generally praise Blizzard Beach for its unique melting ski resort theme and family-friendly atmosphere, especially Tikes Peak and the Lazy River. The free water park perk for resort guests on check-in day is a major highlight. However, some visitors note that the park can get crowded, and the pavement can become extremely hot, necessitating water shoes.
"We normally go to typhoon lagoon. But this year we tried blizzard beach. Everything was great. The food and atmosphere. The wait lines were nothing crazy. It was an overall great experience with my family. We definitely loved the lazy river, it was really long and relaxing!"
Jack Finnerty Jr
"Overall it was amazing! We went on July 13th for my son's birthday, he definitely had a blast. The food is 8 out of 10 you have options from a bacon cheeseburger a flat bread , chicken tenders and a turkey cheddar cold sandwich. I recommend the mini donuts as well. Now for the rides please be aware that in Ski Patrol Camp the slide that they have is good but the water is 8ft deep i would not recommend kids under 10 unless they know how to really swim back up to surface. The Cross Country river is a must do."
Karla Martinez
"Disney’s Blizzard Beach exceeded expectations! The slides offered a perfect blend of excitement and fun, with options that catered to both thrill-seekers and those looking for a more laid-back ride. The wave pool was expansive and a blast to swim in, and the lazy river was a standout—peaceful, beautifully themed, and something I could easily float around in for hours. We had a fantastic time from start to finish and will absolutely be coming back for another visit!"

👨👩👧 Families with Kids

The Unique Theme of Blizzard Beach
This unique theming creates a fun and immersive atmosphere. You'll find elements like a snow cat snack bar and a gator with a cold in a cottage along the lazy river. The contrast of snow-themed elements with the Florida heat adds to the charm and makes it a memorable experience.
While Typhoon Lagoon offers a more traditional tropical island vibe, Blizzard Beach's melting ski resort concept provides a distinct and often humorous setting that appeals to families looking for something a little different.
Maximizing Your Free Check-In Day
To make the most of this, aim to arrive at the water park as early as possible, ideally before opening. This gives you a head start on popular attractions and helps you secure a good spot, like shaded seating. Consider packing a small bag with essentials or a change of clothes for the bus ride to ensure comfort.
Even with limited time, you can experience a good portion of the park. Prioritize your must-do slides and attractions, and remember that the water parks can be just as engaging as the theme parks, offering a fun and active start to your Disney adventure.
Navigating Blizzard Beach with Little Ones
Beyond Tikes Peak, the Lazy River offers a gentle and relaxing experience for the whole family. While some of the larger slides might be too intense, there are often smaller slides within the main areas that older toddlers and preschoolers can enjoy with supervision. The park's overall layout is also manageable for navigating with strollers or little legs.
Remember to bring or rent water shoes, as the pavement can get very hot, which is especially important for children who may not be used to it. Arriving early can also help secure shaded spots, making the day more comfortable for everyone.
