What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Adventure Mountain Lake Tahoe offers a fun snow tubing experience with beautiful scenery, but visitors often note high costs for parking and tubing, and the physical effort of carrying tubes uphill. While some find the runs exciting, others feel it's expensive for the duration and effort involved. The facility can also be crowded, especially on weekends, leading to parking and wait time issues.
"Been to much better places. It's also more expensive than the other locations I have been too. Parking is 20$ Tubing is in session of 2 hours we only lasted 37 minutes as you have to carry your own tub up the hill. I think that would help a lot of they had stairs or something to assist going back up. The last one I went to had a conveor belt to take you back up. Hills are not that steep that we stop mid way. Wish it was steeper and longer. We wouldn't come back here again. Expensive I don't mind, but wasn't fun and super exhausting. My kids was super excited on the way, but then stopped after 40 minutes. We had more fun throwing snow balls at each other when we first entered the park. We wanted to go to Hansen's, but they were closed for the season, and had no other choice. The kids enjoyed the snow though, so that was the one positive."

"20$ to park car...
35$ per kid...
40$ per adult..
Free small play zone but if you dared cross the line to sled workers were watching🫣🤣
Parking seems tight, we went on a monday and barely squeezed in. Park is smaller but good. I cant imagine going on a weekend unless you get there right when they open to hopefully get a parking spot. Parking is maybe for 30 cars just seemed very tight. They have a food court with basic fried foods ect but waiting was 30min to hour...Maybe 10 lanes to sled down. No long lines kids went up and down no problem.
I would come back but strictly on a weekday for parking reasons.
Thanks for the memories for our kids."

"Nice tubing area and snow play area. Update on the cost of things. Parking $20.00 and tubing for two hours including tubing for adults is $40.00. Didn't pay attention to the child price since we didnt have children. They had multiple tubing runaways. We went on Wednesday around noon and no wait. Thank goodness for the recent storm, there were plenty of snow. Also, don't let the pictures fool you, the runways were actually high and fast enough for my adult children to enjoy them a lot. Two hours weren't enough for them. But they had plenty of excitement on those two hours. Will definitely be back again.

Navigating the Tubing Experience
While the lanes are generally considered fun and fast enough by many, a few reviews mentioned that some hills weren't as steep as expected, causing runs to stop mid-way. The snow conditions can also play a significant role; arriving in the morning when the snow is firmer is often recommended for a better experience. Despite the physical exertion, many visitors still find it a memorable winter activity, especially when the snow conditions are good and the crowds are manageable.
Key takeaway: Be prepared for the physical aspect of carrying tubes uphill. If this is a concern, consider the age and stamina of your group. Booking weekday sessions can significantly improve the experience by reducing wait times and crowding.
Understanding Costs and Value
This pricing has led some visitors to question the overall value, especially when compared to other tubing locations or if the experience doesn't meet expectations. For instance, one reviewer felt that for the price, the experience was not as fun or as long as anticipated, leading to disappointment. However, other visitors found the experience to be worth the cost, particularly when the snow conditions were excellent and the runs were fast and enjoyable. The value perception often hinges on the quality of the snow, the length of the runs, and the overall management of the facility.
Pro-tip: Always check the official website for the most current pricing for parking and tubing sessions. Consider visiting on a weekday to potentially get more value for your money due to fewer crowds and easier access.
Managing Expectations and Crowds
During peak times, wait times for tubing lanes can also form, although some reviews suggest that with multiple lanes open, the wait is manageable. The snow conditions can also impact the experience; some visitors noted that the snow was icy or slushy, making the uphill climb difficult and the runs less thrilling. The management of the facility, including the assistance provided by staff, has also been a point of contention for some, with a few reviews mentioning a lack of assistance in the tubing areas.
Community Wisdom: Weekday visits are consistently recommended to avoid the worst of the crowds and parking issues. Arriving early, even on weekdays, is still a good strategy for securing the best parking spots.
