Reviews Summary

Cooper's Cave Overlook is a convenient stop for a quick view of a small waterfall and historical context, but many visitors find the nearby industrial plant detracts significantly from the natural beauty and ambiance. While some appreciate the historical information, others feel it's not worth a long drive due to limited views and the industrial setting.

"Cooper’s Cave is a nice place to stop if you’re in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit. It’s a cove area with a little water fall to admire. You can only view the area from a bridge with fences. There are signs giving information about the history and significance of the area. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of industry nearby, which hurts the ambiance a lot. Don’t expect anything too incredible, but this was still a fun place to visit nevertheless."

"You can see the small cave from behind a big fence which is otherwise surrounded by a HUGE hydro electric powerplant. Some plaques tell you a bit of the cave's history and that's it. Don't go here if you expect it to be a fun walk or to take cool pictures. My girlfriend and I drove 2 hours to see basically nothing. See my pics and just avoid it."

"Beautiful falls from the mills, but the gate to the island access was closed. I'm not sure if it was seasonal or permanent. Definitely worth a quick visit for the views and history lesson from the photo boards on location."
