"The walk was short, I don’t think it took us more than 5 Mins to get there once we parked.
My husband And I love Waterfalls and this was definitely one of them. Loved the rocks close to the water where you can just sit and enjoy the view. There’s also a little spot next the the water fall where you can sit but be careful it’s very slippery"

"South CC Falls is beautifully secluded and definitely underrated.
The hike is brief, a descent most of the way there. Then there’s the hike back.
For a 50 year old who doesn’t exercise, I would say I did okay. I was out of breath, but this hidden gem was definitely worth the effort.
I look forward to next time."

"Beautiful falls just a short hike away from a nice campground. The falls are smaller than the North Clear Creek Falls but still impressive. Two different hikes to view it from either the base or up on a cliff. These hikes tart from a parking lot near campsites 8 and 9. The trail to the cliff viewpoint is located behind campsite 9 (a little confusing to find)"

The base of the falls offers a dynamic perspective with mist and close-up views. The cliffside viewpoint provides a broader panorama. Experiment with different angles to capture the falls' beauty.
For capturing the water's flow, a slightly longer exposure (e.g., 1/2 second to 2 seconds) can create a silky effect. Use a tripod to avoid camera shake. For general shots, a standard aperture like f/8 or f/11 will provide good depth of field.

The close proximity to the water and the surrounding rocky terrain offer unique framing possibilities. Look for interesting textures in the rocks and the way the water interacts with them.

Navigating the Trail to the Falls
As you get closer to the base, the terrain can become more challenging. Reviews mention loose rock and wash-out spots, particularly if you aim to get right to the water's edge. This means wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes with good grip is highly recommended. The slippery nature of the rocks near the falls also means extra caution is needed to avoid slips and falls.
While the hike is brief, it's not entirely 'easy' for everyone. The effort is consistently described as 'worth it' for the beautiful and secluded views that await. For those seeking a more elevated perspective, a separate trail near campsite 9 leads to a cliff viewpoint, offering a different, though sometimes harder-to-find, vantage point.

The intimate setting allows you to get quite close to the falls, feeling the cool mist on your skin and appreciating the raw beauty of the natural landscape.
While the falls are smaller than some of its counterparts, its charm lies in its tranquility and accessibility. It's a place where you can sit on the rocks, listen to the water, and feel a sense of discovery. The experience is often described as a refreshing escape, offering a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle.
