We use the park to launch our kayaks to go up the Silver River towards Silver Springs State Park. The park's canal also leads into the Ocklawaha River. Plenty of wildlife can be seen, including monkeys, turtles, alligators, birds, snakes, fish, and manatees!"

"Ray's is an awesome place to launch from or end your trip at via kayaking. I'm only saying via kayaking as that is what my experience is in.
The first photo is a little guy catching a ride on my head 🥰 he was struggling in the water. At some point, he must have jumped on a limb I went under. The other pictures are a kayaking trip launching from Ray's paddling against the current to Silver Springs. Btw would not recommend for beginners to go against the current it can be a beast at times. They launch from Ray's to Gore is absolutely beautiful as well. I didn't take any pictures other than my buddy hitching a ride. Next time I paddle that route, I will take some and post."

"This place is cool gets a little crowded sometimes but the people are always really nice. You do have to pay the park. It’s like seven bucks all day. Park your vehicle at Ray Way side put in at SilverSprings and do the whole 5 miles of river. It’s great."
