"Wonderful hiking trails with beautiful views. Every season is gorgeous here."

"Great loop trail to get the heart going, but easy on the feet and easy on the eyes. Well worn for trail running and not too much bun busting elevation. You can connect to Irish Hills, if you want to make a day of it. Nice views and friendly cows. Get out and check it out."
Jaimal Hanson
"Lovely, slow sloping figure-8-shaped trail that is easy on the knees to run and takes almost no effort to hike. My favorite one around here.
In the mornings it is typically windless (unless winds are offshore) and sometimes misty, although not as foggy as trails closer to the coast. Bird songs get loud, grasses and spiderwebs take their morning showers in dew droplets and sparkle like twinkle lights when the rising sun hits them just right.
Afternoon hike can get hot as the oak trees are sparse and most of the hike is out in the open. However, the open space provides much coveted coastal breeze that make this hike still enjoyable even in midday heat. Real bonus here is the shady creek down at the very bottom where my dog likes to take a drink.
In the evenings, the auburn light of the setting sun penetrates the heavy air and the dry fields glow. Lovely trail either way!"

Navigating the Trails
When planning your hike, consider the time of day. Mornings are often windless and filled with the sounds of birds, with dew-kissed spiderwebs creating a magical atmosphere. While afternoons can get warm due to the open nature of the space, a welcome coastal breeze often mitigates the heat. The sparse oak trees offer some shade, and a shady creek at the bottom of the loop provides a refreshing spot for dogs to drink. Evenings are particularly beautiful, with the setting sun bathing the dry fields in a warm, auburn light.
It's crucial to be aware of trail conditions, especially after periods of heavy rain. While the trails are generally well-maintained, past events have caused temporary closures.
