What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking, majestic beauty and secluded nature of San Lorenzo Canyon, calling it a hidden gem perfect for primitive camping and hiking. While the journey can be challenging and amenities are non-existent, the stunning views and unique slot canyons make it a highly rewarding experience for adventurers.
"Multiple rock climbs leading to one stunning view after another. Would recommend to hike during the spring or fall as there is not much shade. Semi dog friendly, if you are willing to lift your fur baby above your head (required for some of the climbs). Download the Alltrails map before getting onto the dirt road, there is no reception at location of trail. It's easy to loose the trail, make sure to watch the map closely."

"I can't say enough about this place. Absolutely breathtaking. It's very secluded but the roads are passable in small cars, we were in a Corrola. Take it slow and pay attention, and you will be just fine.
The canyon itself is majestic. You have to see for yourself. The trails are well maintained. There are some slot canyons, but I ran out of daylight to really get into them. I will definitely return if I'm back in the area."

Coming from Texas the directions found online were a bit confusing. Such a great experience. No working water, restrooms, or cell service but well worth it."
