Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Old Town Hall for its iconic Hocus Pocus filming location status and its role as a vibrant event space, hosting unique markets and historical reenactments. While the building itself might seem basic inside, its central location and the atmosphere during events are major draws. Some find the exterior more visually striking than the interior.
"We attended the Cry Innocent: the People vs. Bridget Bishop trial here at the Old Town Hall.
You meet up in the street our front to "pay for" and attend the show. We waited about 15-20 mins before the pre-show beginning and it was pretty cold when we went, so pack and dress accordingly.
The show itself was very good at recreating an accurate depiction of what a real "Witch Trial" would have been like. The actors were great and everything was very well put together. The experience was very enlightening and informative. I would highly recommend seeing this show. There are interactive segments and audience participation and in the end the crowd or "Jury" vote on the verdict.
Everything here was very well thought out and put together."

"Interesting space opened for a market when we visited at night. During the day in the steps a historical reenactment was taking place about the witch trials. If you wanted to go upstairs to see the rest of the show you had to of course get tickets.
The walk though of the market on the first floor was fun and it was centrally located."

"Built in 1816 and according to salemma.gov website, it derived the building's namesake from the Old Town Hall National Historic District. The website further says that the Old Town Hall has Federal style architecture.
It is a stop for a lot of tours and the building looks new 🆕. I have visited the first floor and it looks like your basic room.
You cannot miss it when you visit downtown Salem and Derby Square."
