"We had a great time at this museum. And of all the museums to choose from I'm happy with my choice of prioritizing this one. Tickets go on sale the night before (10pm) for the very next day. I did check at that time and there were lots of tickets for each slot left so I didn't buy it then. I bought the tickets online the day of (we were able to plan the day more accurately this way). Although it was busy they seemed to still be selling seats at the door. (This time of year wasn't busy in Salem in general).
The presentation was fantastic. We got seats in the middle of the room but some were seated against the wall. Their experience would be drastically different as the story is told with the exhibits on the wall going around the room.
You get lots of themes that would explain the witch trials that took place in Salem. It's a great starting point into the story of Salem. There's lots of books if you want to further dive into any of the themes.

"My husband and I had a great time at the museum. Tickets were fairly priced and we loved the history behind the witch trials. The showings were based by time, and we only had to wait in the park across the street for 10 minutes before our show time. The wax figures were a little spooky & it may be too intense for smaller children. But older children and adults would enjoy the history and show from this museum. It is ADA accessible with wheelchair lifts to both exhibits. Buy tickets in advance to secure your spot, but we went on a weekday and it was not busy & we had no wait for tickets."

"Cheesy & dated! I'm not sure this even qualifies as a museum. There are two rooms, and the first is a presentation with figures reminiscent of Epcot's old Spaceship Earth ride--without the ride. Epcot did an update, and this place should, too. I gave two stars because they do teach you about the witch trials in that room. But in the next room-the alleged museum-we are done with Salem history and focused on the history of witchcraft. This could be fun and interesting, but it's more like a textbook overview. The guide quickly goes from subject to subject, skipping many items, and in the end we somehow get a line about the AIDS crisis. It's so quick, with poor transitions, and many holes. Then we're allowed to look at these items ourselves, supposedly for as long as we want, but most people go straight to the gift shop and you're left with the guide waiting for you to move along, too. They do have a few cool items, if you carefully examine everything. It's like a scavenger hunt, but really it's not, because scavenger hunts are fun. Save your time & $19. Take a Salem walking tour & you'll get the information in a far more exciting and impactful way."
