What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Washoe County Courthouse is lauded for its magnificent Classical Revival architecture, evoking a sense of historical grandeur. However, visitors have noted challenges in accessing court records and mixed experiences with the internal systems and staff interactions, suggesting a need for greater patience from courthouse personnel.
"In 1979 I went to court for my divorce proceeding. I was in court with my attorney. Fast forward to now 2025. I tried to locate a copy of my divorce decree on line but unsuccessful. No one can seem to find the record. Was told to try an e-mail. Ha, ha, ha. This must be some of the most inept group ever. I has better luck with getting a document from Oakland, Ca. This place is a joke."

"Be prepared to empty your pockets and remove your belt and anything else that might be metal including your lighter or buckles on your shoes."
Jeff Flood
"I don’t have any experience with the staff here. Whenever I pass through downtown, this magnificent historic structure reminds me of the good old days of mighty America. I compare it with the monumental buildings of Manhattan downtown. This place of Reno is, my Reno Manhattan.
However the reviews reveal, the system inside not as magnificent as the building.
I request the staff, to be patient to the public, whoever comes in here will come with problems. All may not get orders in their favour for sure. At least if they get some solace with the procedure and behaviour, we’ll be some consoling.
Near to all facilities, and good parking adjacent, this buildings stands unique."
