What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate the iconic 'Believe' sign and the lively skate scene at Bicentennial Park, with many enjoying the scenic Truckee River views. However, some reviews mention concerns about litter and the presence of homeless individuals, which can detract from the experience.
"Always a bit litter heavy, but if it weren't, it would be so pretty there. It's a shame that the homeless have to explode the place with garbage, instead of making the place around them better. I wonder how things would be different for them if they were to spend time improving the community they ask to support them via soliciting spare change, food/clothing donations (direct or via drives/banks), cigarettes, and such... I hypothesize that they would find new and better opportunities and friendlier faces walking beside them. .... I guess I BELIEVE in the golden rule...."
Levi R'Something
"Usually see people skateboarding here, and sometimes there are some homeless wandering the area.
But during the holidays the city goes all out and makes an enjoyable holiday presence. I wish there was snow!"
Matthew Cordonero
"Beautiful area of the city, with great views of the river, as well as the Believe Sign, the only issue is all the erratic homeless that makes this park home, crazy, since it's DIRECTLY across from a City Hall."
