"Went here for a whale and bird watching trip. Great example of a working harbor. Beautiful if windy day. Saw many nesting bird species, spectacular scenery, no whales. Will go again."
Doug Rockey
"This is a great area to spend some time relaxing. Although the beach may be short it is well worth a trip. Most times I've been there to myself the occasionally there may be a couple of others. The water is usually fairly calm as it is somewhat protected. There are usually just a few small waves rolling in. There's a convenient parking area and you basically walk straight onto the beach. There's also a restaurant right at the port with great food. If you time it right you may be able to see them lowering boats into the water as their is no boat ramp there. You can also rent kayaks and kayak around the area."
Eugene Hogan
"Fun place to sit and watch the ocean and the 'goings on'. We watched the unique way they pulled boats out of the ocean with a crane and unload the fish caught by the sailors. There are places to park and they allow you to walk around (stay out of the way) and watch as they work."
