What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Pioneer Woman Museum and Statue for its inspiring exhibits on the strength and resilience of Oklahoma's pioneering women. The knowledgeable staff and the impactful 'Confident' statue are frequently highlighted as major draws. While some reviews mention inconsistent customer service in the gift shop, the overall experience is considered a valuable and affordable educational stop.
"After viewing the Pioneer Woman statue we went into the museum proper to see what was on exhibit. We were met at the front desk by a gentleman who accepted our payment and then told us about a few of the artifacts in the first room. We walked from room to room reading the placards on the wall and viewing the artifacts from a bygone age.
Very interesting was the fact the fellow had found an old movie roll in a coffee can and had it developed to find out it was a newsreel from when the statue was uncovered back in 1932. The area looks nothing like it did back then and the crowd of people was twice the population of the town itself.
When it was time to go we could not find the gentleman who accepted our money. The wife wanted to purchase a tshirt from the small gift shop area. I went looking and found a lady sitting in the back. When I called to her she looked up and went back to doing whatever she was doing on her phone. So perhaps a tshirt from a different museum awaits? We left soon after."
