What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Philadelphia Museum of Art for its stunning architecture, vast and diverse collections spanning various cultures and eras, and the iconic Rocky Steps offering city views. Many highlight the immersive atmosphere created by authentic architectural elements within galleries. While the sheer size can be overwhelming, most agree it's a worthwhile experience for art and culture lovers, with Friday evenings offering a lively, more affordable option.
"It has a beautiful collection of different ages and cultures. Start from the top floor and, most probably, you will spend there most of your day in the museum. There are unique pieces of European Medieval Art, Asian Art, and American period. It's like swimming in the waves from one culture to another. Another thing which is notable about this museum is that it tries hard to recreate the atmosphere of each period and culture through bringing up of their correspondent architectural authentic elements which fills the rooms with distinctive spirit of each place. It's a definitely nice place to visit for Art & Culture lovers."

"One of the best museums I've experienced in the states! It's very big, nice, clean, and a lot of collections that you might want to see desperately! And they offer 15$ per adult every Friday night with DJ/ music stuff. Although I think the event is not necessary, however, it's very good to see a museum try to attract different areas of people to come in again to appreciate the pure beauty of arts!"

"I was genuinely impressed by the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It’s a stunning and inspiring place, especially for those who appreciate art in all its forms. I was particularly captivated by the European collection, so rich and elegant and the Asian art section, which felt peaceful and full of meaning. Every room invites you to slow down and observe. I’m really enjoying learning more about art, and this visit only deepened that interest. I’ll definitely be coming back."
